Lilium provides detailed information on the processing of personal data in regard to its Website in its Website Privacy Notice (the “Website Privacy Notice”), that can be found here: https://lilium.com/privacy-policy. This notice (“Cookie Notice”) forms a part of the Privacy Notice and outlines Lilium’s use of Cookies (as defined below) when visiting Lilium.com and related websites, such as the Lilium investor webpage.
  2. Unless otherwise expressly stated herein, terms in this Cookie Notice have the same meaning as defined in the Privacy Notice.
  3. Our website, available under the URLs https://lilium.com, https://ir.lilium.com and https://investors.lilium.com (collectively, the “Website”) uses cookies and similar technologies such as pixels and Local Storage Objects (LSOs) like HTML5 (together “Cookies”) for the purposes described in the types of Cookies in Section 5 below, including to distinguish you from other users of our Website. Functionality Cookies. These enable our Website to remember information that changes the way the website behaves or looks, like your preferred language or the region that you are in.

Targeting Cookies. These Cookies record your visit to our Website, the pages you have visited and the links you have followed. They are used to track visitors across websites. We will use this information to make our Website and the advertising displayed on it, and the marketing messages we send to you, more relevant to your interests. We may also share this information with third parties who provide a service to us for this purpose. If you are accessing our Website, you have been asked to consent to the use of these cookies. You are free to deny your consent. Please see the section ‘Internet Based Advertising’ below for more information.

  6. The types of Cookies described above can be further differentiated between First-Party Cookies and Third-Party Cookies, and Session Cookies and Persistent Cookies.

The legal basis of the processing of your personal data by strictly necessary Cookies is our legitimate interest of providing and maintaining a stable and secure website, Art. 6 (1) S. 1 lit. f GDPR. The Cookies we use are designed to help you get the most from our Website. However, if you do not wish to receive Cookies, most browsers allow you to change your Cookie settings. Depending on your mobile device and operating system, you may not be able to delete or block all Cookies. Please note that if you choose to refuse all Cookies you may not be able to use the full functionality of our Website. These settings will typically be found in the “options” or “preferences” menu of your browser. To understand these settings, the following links may be helpful, otherwise you should use the “Help” option in your browser for more details.
  8. We and our third-party partners may also use Cookies and tracking technologies for advertising purposes. For more information about tracking technologies, please see the section ‘Tracking Technologies Used In Our Emails’ below.
  9. Please note that deleting or blocking Cookies may not be effective for all types of tracking technologies, such as Local Storage Objects (LSOs) like HTML5.
  10. If you would like to find out more about Cookies and other similar technologies, please visit www.allaboutcookies.org or www.networkadvertising.org.

TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES USED IN OUR EMAILS

  1. Our emails may contain tracking web beacons that identify if and when you have opened an email that we have sent you, how many times you have read it and whether you have clicked on any links in that email. This helps us internally measure the effectiveness of our marketing email campaigns, make the emails we send to you more relevant to your interests, and to understand if you have opened and read any important administrative emails we might send you.
  2. Most popular email clients will allow you to block these web beacons by disabling certain external images in emails. You can do this through the settings on your email client – these generally give you the option of choosing whether emails will display “remote images”, “remote content” or “images” by default.
  3. Some browsers also give you the option of downloading and installing extensions that block web beacons and other tracking technologies.
  4. The legal basis for the processing of your personal data for using tracking technology as described above is your consent, 6 (1) S. 1 lit. a GDPR. You can withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link included in each newsletter email, or by sending an email to privacy@lilium.com. The withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. For more information, see our Website Privacy Notice. Please note that when you unsubscribe from these tracking technologies, you will also be unsubscribed from the newsletter as specified in our Website Privacy Notice.

INTERNET BASED ADVERTISING

  1. We participate in interest-based advertising and use third-party advertising companies to serve you targeted advertisements based on your browsing history and use of the Website. We may share, or we may permit third-party online advertising networks, social media companies and other third-party services to collect information about your use of the Website over time so that they may play or display ads on the Website, on other websites, apps, or services you may use (including Facebook), and on other devices you may use.
  2. Typically, but not always, this information is collected through Cookies and similar tracking technologies. These third parties may collect, or we may share, mobile identifiers, such as the ID for Advertising for iOS (IDFA), Google Advertising ID, as well as your device’s IP address, information about other applications on your device, your location, information about your use of the Website, email address or hashed data and information about which advertisements you have seen or clicked on. We may share a common account identifier (such as a hashed email address or user ID) with our third-party advertising partners to help identify you across devices.
  3. We and our third-party partners use this information to make the advertisements you see online more relevant to your interests, as well as to provide advertising-related services such as reporting, attribution, analytics, and market research.
  4. The following is a sample of the third-party service partners we work with to provide advertising services. We will strive to update this information if or when we work with new partners that offer you choices about the collection of your information. As partners change and new technologies become available, this information is likely to change over time and updates will be provided as described in this Cookie Notice. For more information, see Annex 1 or access our Cookie preference tool – [show Cookie preference tool].
  5. Google Analytics. We use the service Google Analytics of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, respectively Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Dublin, Ireland if you are visiting from the EU, EEA, or Switzerland. We use Google Analytics to recognize you and link the devices you use when you visit our Website on your browser or mobile device, log in to your account on our Services, or otherwise engage with us. We share a unique identifier, like a user ID or hashed email address, with Google to facilitate the Google service. Google Analytics allows us to better understand how our users interact with our Services and to tailor our advertisements and content to you. For information on how Google Analytics collects and processes data, as well as how you can control information sent to Google, review Google’s site “How Google uses data when you use our partners’ sites or apps” located at google.com/policies/privacy/partners/. You can learn about Google Analytics’ currently available opt-outs, including the Google Analytics Browser Ad-On here: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout/. We have also added the code “anonymizeIP” to Google Analytics on this website. This masks your IP address. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the United States. You may control your advertising preferences or withdraw your consent of Google advertising products by visiting the Google Ads Preferences Manager, currently available at https://google.com/ads/preferences, by visiting NAI’s online resources at http://www.networkadvertising.org/choices , or as described below.
  6. Google Universal Analytics. We may also use certain forms of display advertising and other advanced features through Google Universal Analytics, such as Remarketing with Google Analytics, Google Display Network Impression Reporting, the DoubleClick Campaign Manager Integration, and Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting. Google will use this information on our behalf to evaluate your use of the Website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services relating to website activity and internet usage to us. These features enable us to use first-party Cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookie) and third-party Cookies (such as the Doubleclick advertising Cookie) or other third-party Cookies together to inform, optimize, and display ads based on your past visits to the Service. Your IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not combined with other data from Google. We have also added the code “anonymizeIP” to Google Analytics on this website. This masks your IP address. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the United States and shortened there. You may control your advertising preferences or withdraw your consent of Google advertising products by visiting the Google Ads Preferences Manager, currently available at https://google.com/ads/preferences or by visiting NAI’s online resources at http://www.networkadvertising.org/choices.
  7. Vimeo. We use the Vimeo service of the company Vimeo, Inc., 555 West 18th Street, 10011 New York, United States of America, website: http://www.vimeo.com/. Videos from the Vimeo platform are integrated into our Website via the Vimeo service. Further information on the handling of the transferred data can be found in the provider's data protection declaration at https://vimeo.com/privacy. The provider also offers an opt-out option at https://vimeo.com/privacy.
  8. YouTube. We use the YouTube service of the company Google LLC, D/B/A YouTube, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA, YouTube: support-de@google.com, website: http://www.google.com/. Videos from the YouTube platform are integrated into our Website via the YouTube service. Further information on the handling of the personal data can be found in YouTube’s data protection declaration at policies.google.com/privacy. The provider also offers an opt-out option at support.google.com/policies.
  9. Facebook Conversion Tracking and Custom Audience. We use the tracking technology Facebook Conversion Tracking and Custom Audience (“Facebook Services”) provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. Willow Rd. Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA, respectively Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Dublin, Ireland if you are living within the European Union, (together, “Facebook”). Using the Facebook Conversion Tracking by implementing the Meta pixel and the respective cookie enables us to conduct so called conversion tracking, i.e., the tracking of your actions on our Website. Such tracking allows us to provide interest-based advertisements (“Facebook Ads”) to you when you visit one of Meta’s social networks, such as Facebook or Instagram or other websites that also use this method. Please find further information about Facebook Conversion Tracking at: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/facebook-pixel/implementation/conversion-tracking/. Using Facebook Custom Audiences and respective cookie allows us to segment our Website visitors into groups based on the actions they have taken on our Website. These groups are called custom audiences and help us to optimize our ad sets to target other Facebook users who match the audience’s criteria. Please find further information about Facebook Conversion Tracking at: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/facebook-pixel/implementation/custom-audiences. Through the integration of the Facebook pixel, Facebook receives the information that you have clicked on an ad from us or called up the corresponding web page of our Website. If you are registered with a Facebook service, Facebook can assign the visit to your account. Even if you are not registered with Facebook or have not logged in, there is a possibility that Facebook may learn your IP address and other identifiers. With the use of the Facebook Services, we pursue the purpose of displaying Facebook Ads placed by us only to those Facebook users who have also shown an interest in our Internet offer. With the help of the Facebook pixel, we would like to ensure that our Facebook Ads correspond to the potential interest of the users and do not have a harassing effect. Further, with the help of the Facebook pixel, we can track the effectiveness of Facebook Ads for statistical purposes by seeing whether users continue to visit our Website after clicking on a Facebook ad. Furthermore, when using the Facebook Pixel, we use the additional function “advanced matching” (data such as telephone numbers, email addresses or Facebook IDs of the users) to create target groups (“Custom Audiences” or “Look Alike Audiences”), which are transmitted to Facebook (encrypted). Further information on "advanced matching" can be found at: https://www.facebook.com/business/help/611774685654668). To find out more about the Facebook pixel and about Facebook's use of personal data generally, see the Facebook cookie policy at https://www.facebook.com/policies/cookies/ and the Facebook privacy policy at https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy. The Facebook cookie policy includes information about controlling Facebook’s use of cookies to show you advertisements. If you are a registered Facebook user, you can adjust how advertisements are targeted by following the instructions at https://www.facebook.com/help/568137493302217.
  10. X (Twitter). We use the tracking technology Conversion Tracking provided by X Corp., which provides X and the Services, 1355 Market Street, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94103 U.S.A. Using the X pixel and respective cookie enables interest-based advertisements to be displayed to user of our Website when they visit the X social network or other websites that also use this method and helps us to optimize our future marketing activities. Through the integration of the X pixel, X receives the information that you have clicked on an ad from us or called up a corresponding web page of our Website. Statistical data is transferred to X to provide us with corresponding statistics on this basis and to be able to show you interest-specific offers. This data is stored in a cookie and processed by X so that a connection to the respective user profile is possible and X can use the data for its own advertising purposes, in accordance with the X privacy policy: https://twitter.com/en/privacy. We have no influence on the scope and further use of data collected by X using the X pixel.
Settings regarding which types of advertisements are displayed to you within X can be made on the following X website: https://twitter.com/personalization. You can change your X privacy settings and consents in your account settings at: https://twitter.com/account/settings.
  11. LinkedIn. We use conversion tracking with LinkedIn Insight Tag of LinkedIn Corporation, 1000 W. Maude Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94085, USA, respectively LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Plaza, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland if you are visiting from the EU, EEA, or Switzerland. Using the service requires the placement of LinkedIn Insight Tag and a separate cookie. By LinkedIn Insight Tag, LinkedIn is informed that you have visited our Website, whereby your IP address is also collected. In addition, timestamps and events such as page views are stored. This enables us to statistically evaluate the use of our Website in order to constantly optimize it. We learn, for example, through which LinkedIn ad or interaction on LinkedIn you came to our Website. This allows us to better control the display of our advertising. Further information on conversion tracking can be found at https://www.linkedin.com/help/linkedin/answer/a420536/linkedin-conversion-trackingubersicht?lang=en. Please note that data may be stored and processed by LinkedIn so that a connection to the respective user profile is possible and LinkedIn may use the data for its own advertising purposes. For more information, please see LinkedIn’s privacy policy at https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy. You can prevent the analysis of your usage behaviour by LinkedIn as well as the display of interest-based recommendations via https://www.linkedin.com/psettings/guest-controls/retargeting-opt-out.
  12. Legal basis and more information on international transfer: The legal basis for the processing of your personal data in this regard is your consent, Art. 6 (1) S. 1 lit. a GDPR. If you are located in the EU, please note the processing may also take place in a third country for which there is no adequacy decision by the European Commission. Therefore, the level of protection customary for the GDPR cannot be guaranteed during transmission, as it cannot be ruled out that in third countries, g., authorities can access the data collected. However, it may still be possible that third parties, e.g., authorities, access your data. We do not have influence over such access and any further processing by third parties. The legal basis for the transmission of personal data is your consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) S. 1 lit. a, and 49 (1) S. 1 lit. a GDPR, which you have given on our Website. If you want to learn more about the safeguards, we have implemented with respect to international data transfers and if you want to receive a copy of such safeguards, please contact us at privacy@lilium.com.
  13. More Information on withdraw (opt-out) consent from Internet Based Advertising: You can withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data at any time by using the links provided above regarding the respective third-party advertising company; through our Cookie banner or change your preferences with respect to the use of Cookies outlined above by using our Cookie preference tool – [show Cookie preference tool]; or by sending an email to privacy@lilium.com. For more information, see our Website Privacy Notice.
  14. We and our third-party partners may also link your various devices so that content you see on one device can result in relevant advertising on another device. We do this by collecting information about each device you use when you are logged in to the Website. We may also work with third party partners who employ tracking technologies, or the application of statistical modelling tools, to determine if two or more devices are linked to a single user or household. We may share a common account identifier (such as user ID) with third party advertising partners to help recognise you across devices. We and our partners can use this cross-device linkage to serve interest-based advertising and other personalised content to you across your devices, to perform analytics and to measure the performance of our advertising campaigns. You may be able to limit the use of these identifiers for interest-based advertising on a particular device through the settings on your device by selecting “limit ad tracking” (iOS) or “opt out of interest-based ads” (Android). You may also be able to opt-out of some, but not all, interest-based ads served by mobile ad networks by visiting http://youradchoices.com/appchoices and downloading the mobile AppChoices app.
  15. To learn more about interest-based advertising and how you may be able to opt-out of some of this advertising, you may wish to visit:
    - the Network Advertising Initiative’s online resources, at http://www.networkadvertising.org/choices;
    - the DAA’s resources at aboutads.info/choices; and/or
    - Your Online Choices at youronlinechoices.eu.
  16. Please note that opting-out of receiving interest-based advertising through the NAI’s and DAA’s or Your Online Choices online resources will only opt you out from receiving interest-based ads on that specific browser or device, but you may still receive interest-based ads on your other devices. You would need to perform the opt-out on each browser or device you use.
  17. Some of these opt-outs may not be effective unless your browser is set to accept Cookies. If you delete Cookies, change your browser settings, switch browsers or devices, or use another operating system, you will need to opt-out again.
  18. Please note that opting out of interest-based advertising does not mean you will no longer see advertising on your device – it just means that advertisements may no longer be tailored to your interests.

When we change this Cookie Notice in a material way, we will update the “last modified” date at the end of this Cookie Notice.
